Before your colour

- Vivids, big changes, and corrections start with a 20-minute consultation. It is free and can be booked online.
- Patch test
- New colour clients come in at least 48 hours before the appointment for a quick skin test.
- Deposit
- Appointments over 3 hours need a $50 deposit, taken off your bill.
- Aftercare
- Vivids fade faster than natural shades. Wash in cool water with a colour-safe shampoo.

Loud Roots is a two-chair colour studio above a shop on Ossington. Most of our days are vivids, blonding, and fixing colour that went wrong somewhere else.
Bright colour needs healthy hair underneath it, so every big change starts with a consultation and a strand test.
Colour questions
How long will vivid colour last?
Usually four to eight weeks before a refresh. Pastels fade faster than deep shades.
Can you go from dark hair to pink in one visit?
Sometimes. It depends on your hair's history and condition. We will tell you honestly at the consultation, and it may take two visits.
Why are prices 'from'?
Length, thickness, and how much lightening is needed change the time. You get a firm price at the consultation.
