- Needles only
- Every piercing is done with a single-use, sterile needle. We never use piercing guns.
- Jewelry we use
- Implant-grade titanium and 14k or 18k solid gold, internally threaded or threadless. No plated or mystery metals.
- Age and ID
- 16 and 17 year-olds with a parent or guardian and both IDs. 18 and older with photo ID.
- Aftercare
- Sterile saline spray, hands off, and patience. You leave with written aftercare and a free downsize check.

The studio
Lobe and Line is a small piercing studio in Waterloo. We pierce with single-use needles only and stock implant-grade titanium and solid gold jewelry.
You choose your jewelry in the studio before your piercing, with a piercer to help.
Questions
Why is the jewelry priced separately?
So you can choose exactly what goes in. The service fee covers the piercing; the jewelry is yours to pick from the case.
Can I bring my own jewelry?
For new piercings, no. We only put jewelry we know is safe for healing into a fresh piercing.
How long does healing take?
Lobes about 6 to 8 weeks. Cartilage like helix and conch 6 to 12 months.
